Nuline Design and Cad Solutions logos

I just made up these logos and sent them off for feedback. The client likes the top ones, but thinks the CAD solutions conveys a design service element. He wants to keep it a production-only company. Maybe make the green "C" less freeform and more geometric? Thoughts?

I really like the top two designs as well. Are these 2 different businesses? I suppose a more geometric look could help drive home the fact that it's production only and not design. Maybe something that implies a strong grid structure. Although I typically think a logo needs to be strong completely flat, maybe it would be appropriate to incorporate some kind of 3-D element to a CAD logo. I think the top Nuline Design logo is really strong and cool.

I also like the 2nd CAD logo down. I think the shapes making up the word CAD have a lot of potential as a strong icon, with maybe just a bit of tweaking here and there.

Big ups, Ryan!

Hmmm, I can't see the photo in my blog anymore. I'm using Firefox today from work. What gives?

OK nevermind. The jpg finally showed up in my browser.

These are 2 seperate businesses, but they are affiliated. -Like a family of brands. So they have to look similar. Maybe I can somehow incorporate a grid. I need to research more examples of actual CAD work...
